Pete Harris & Hugh Budden
Great Blues duo with Pete playing stunning acoustic guitar & vocals, brilliantly accompanied on harmonica by Hugh. Check out some great material on his website and youtube. Pete has performed onstage with some of Blues greats. You may have been lucky to have heard Pete when he did extended floor spots when Ragamarag, Chris Foster and New Deal string Band were the guest artists.
Hugh is a brilliant harmonica player.

Magpie Lane
Quintessential Southern English Folk. Wonderful 5 piece group from Oxford. Great English singing and playing. The five of them epitomize Southern English Traditional music and song. Bags of instruments including Cello & Hurdy Gurdy, Percussion, Fiddle, Concertina, Bouzouki, Flute & Guitar.
They all sing beautifully. There’s too much to say about them here, visit their web site. English Songs from all the seasons in particular those from Oxfordshire.

Johnny Silvo
Johnny has been performing in Folk, Skiffle & Jazz venues for over 40 years.
He has made about a 1000 TV and Radio appearances. He is a consummate performer who’s full of energy with an amazing voice, and a great guitar style & a brilliant sense of humour. These days he lives in Norway and is seldom seen in the UK. His pedigree includes The Monty Sunshine Jazz Band, Diz Disley & a duo with Sandy Denny.
He really is a great performer, you’ll definitely go home smiling after one of Johnny’s gigs. "He was the first artist I ever saw in a Folk club back in 1970, I was immediately hooked." (Rod Biggs).

Quinns Quinney, Cath Burke, Paul Openshaw, Innominata
Quinns Quinney are an amazing 10 piece Skiffle band who have enough energy to power the National grid. Umpteen instruments inc. Banjos, Basses, Mandolin, guitars, percussion, ukelele, whistle & harmonica plus loads of singers. At their last gig over half the audience were up & dancing, be prepared to to enjoy yourselves.
Cath Burke plays mandolin, guitar and whistle & flute and is a really good singer. She plays in Djambo, Quinns Quinney & other bands.
Paul Openshaw is a fine singer/songwriter who plays guitar & Banjo. His songs such as Mr & Mrs Grumblybottom are very original and highly entertaining.
Innominata (4 piece Trad.multi-instrumentalist/vocal group) are veterans of the folk scene appearing at many Festivals and clubs & numerous recordings over a long period.

Siansa
A long overdue return of the 6 piece traditional Irish band featuring Harp, 2 Uilleen pipers, Fiddle, Guitar, Bhodran and vocals. They are based in London but also play in Holland and France. They make a great sound. Support tonight is from Limerick singer/songwriter/guitarist Jason Hinchey

The Melstock Band’s Christmas Show
Carols and Christmas Music from the English Tradition. Christmas show combining west gallery and folk carols with festive music, poetry and stories.
Appearing in costume they play music & sing material from the era of Thomas Hardy, they are very popular. They’ve appeared all over Europe Africa and America. They play numerous instruments including concertina, fiddle, clarinet, flute, shawm, serpent, ophicleide, trombone, oboe, cor anglais. They are all fine singers. Suitable for all the family. Come early!
